Chic Direction Office Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) acquires personal information relating to users (hereinafter referred to as “Users”) in connection with the provision of RIDE JAPAN (hereinafter referred to as the “Service”). This Privacy Policy is prepared in both Japanese and English. In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the Japanese and English versions, the Japanese version shall prevail as the official version.


Article 1 (Scope of Application)

This Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as the “Policy”) applies when the Company acquires, uses, and manages the personal information of Users.


Article 2 (Information Collected)

Article 3 (Purpose of Use)

Article 4 (Use of Cookies)

The Company may obtain cookies and similar technologies stored on Users’ information and communication devices when Users access the website and the Service (collectively referred to as the “Website, etc.”) for the purposes of analyzing access and usage, delivering advertisements, and improving usability. The Company may associate cookies with Users’ personal information. In such cases, cookies associated with personal information shall be managed in accordance with this Policy. The Company may also provide cookie-related information to data management platforms operated by third parties, obtain browsing history and analytical results collected through cookies from such third parties, and combine such information with Users’ personal data for purposes including advertisement distribution.

Article 5 (Security Measures)

1.Establishment of a responsible person and reporting system for handling personal information
2.Implementation of measures to prevent theft or loss of devices handling personal information (including storage in secure cabinets and password protection)
3.Clarification of the devices and authorized personnel permitted to handle personal information to prevent unauthorized access


Article 6 (Provision to Third Parties)

The Company will not provide acquired personal information to third parties without the prior consent of the User, except in the following cases:
(1) When required by law
(2) When necessary to protect the life, body, or property of a person and obtaining consent is difficult
(3) When particularly necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound development of children and obtaining consent is difficult
(4) When cooperation is required for a national or local government agency (or its delegate) to perform legally prescribed duties, and obtaining consent may interfere with such duties
(5) Other cases where exceptions to third-party provision are permitted by lawNotwithstanding the above, the following cases shall not constitute provision to a third party:
(1) When personal information is provided in connection with the outsourcing of all or part of its handling within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use
(2) When personal information is provided due to business succession resulting from a merger or other reasons
(3) When provided to joint users specified in Article 7


Article 7 (Joint Use of Personal Information)

The Company may provide personal information to specific parties for the purpose of joint use. In such cases, the Company will publicly disclose in advance:
• The items of personal information to be jointly used
• The scope of joint users
• The purposes of use by the joint users
• The name and address of the person responsible for managing such personal information (and, in the case of a corporation, the name of its representative)
 

Article 8 (Changes to this Privacy Policy)

The Company may amend this Policy as necessary to comply with legal revisions or business needs. Any changes will be posted on the Website.

Article 9 (Procedures for Disclosure, Correction, etc.)

Users may request the following within the scope permitted under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and in accordance with this Article and the Company’s related regulations:
(1) Notification of the purpose of use of personal information
(2) Disclosure of personal information or records of third-party provision
(3) Correction, addition, or deletion of personal information
(4) Suspension of use of personal information
(5) Suspension of provision of personal information to third parties
When making such requests, Users must specify the type of request and submit identification documents (such as a driver’s license, health insurance card, or certificate of residence).
A handling fee of JPY 10,000 per request will be charged for requests under Items (1) or (2) of Paragraph 1.

Article 11 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. Any disputes arising in connection with this Privacy Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.
